Mr. Ferrell gets jury verdict for mesothelioma victim October 14, 2011
Mr. Ferrell along with Grant Hedgepeth and Dawn Smith received a jury verdict against Union Carbide in a drilling mud mesothelioma case October 14th, 2011.
Ferrell’s experience has included practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance bad faith, and professional malpractice, Jones Act injuries, mesothelioma, and pharmaceutical law.
Cases have been tried on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants and his litigation responsibilities have included acting as lead counsel in state and federal court, as well as numerous arbitrations conducted before the American Arbitration Association.
“Mr. Ferrell has been honored twice with being ‘selected as a Rising Star’, a Thompson Reuters service printed in Texas Monthly, in 2006 and 2007.” Before graduating from the University of Texas, Mr. Ferrell interned with the Senior Justice of the Texas Supreme Court in his last year of law school.
As an advocate to those who have been injured from asbestos and are suffering from mesothelioma, Mr. Ferrell has pursued every avenue to insure his clients are compensated. Many companies have declared bankruptcy and Mr. Ferrell continuously monitors these firms so that he is able to get compensation for his clients. Having tried cases and settled cases, firms are aware that Mr. Ferrell will not settle in order to achieve the easy way out and that improves outcomes for his clients. When attorneys for companies that have injured people know the other side will try a lawsuit, they are less likely to offer a low settlement as a way out.
In Pharmaceutical Law, Mr. Ferrell has handled cases involving: Chantix, Ephedra, Actos, Avandia, and Meridia.
